Christians and churches do a lot of outreach around Easter. We beef up our invitations, sweeten our worship services, and invest a lot in this important day. And, we should. There is something about Easter that makes non-believers open to connecting with God (or at least church stuff).
After Easter we can often hit a lull. We can forget about outreach and figure we have done our part…for now.
I encourage you to beware of the lull times in your life and the church calendar. It is always a good time for reaching out with God’s love and grace. Take time today and pray about one person you love and care about who is not yet a follower of Jesus. Ask God to stir your heart to love them, serve them, and reach out in natural ways. As Spring comes, invite friends over for a BBQ. Plan a social event where your Christian friends and non-believers can get to know each other. Do something. Just be sure you don’t slump into a lull time…stay on your toes!
